How do I open the case on a Gateway MFATXNIN ESX E4000 computer?
There are no screws anywhere, just a middle section with 2 plastic
ends.

Never mind, I found a push button to pop open the cover.

Now to find out why it wont power up is another thing. Got a green
LED on the MB lit up, and another by the power switch, but no fans, no
voltage to the 4 pin connectors that go to the drives, etc.

Sounds like a hardware standby mode. Either that or a fault in a regulator.
If you look where the power reaches the board, search for chunkier parts with
few pins (likely three) and with solid soldering to the board to get rid of
heat. If you don't see burnt stuff, Google for numbers to confirm, and scope
for expected voltages like 3.3V, 5V, etc.

Also, check the case edges and any projections that are close to case
surfaces. When opening up, you might have opened an interlock switch that can
prevent full power-up if the case is open.

I can't get mine open either. I found a screw on the rear holding a push button but when puched in I still cant remove the cover.
